February 2-2-08 Dead of Winter Party Pot Luck at Daisy’s. |

March 29, 2008 The annual OSCA Fleet Night is scheduled at the West
Marine in East Greenwich from 6 pm to 8 on Saturday March 29! OSCA members will have the 'run of the
store', and will be able to take advantage of discounts of 15% for
non-electronics, and 5% for electronics items. |

April The annual Wine and Cheese will be held on Sunday April 13, from 5:00 to
8:00 at Quonsett Davisville
Navy Yacht Club at Allen Harbor. Our speakers will be Dave and Trudy Rothfuss and Jeff and Susan Mahall
who will review with us their trips to FL and the Bahamas. OSCA will provide
wine, beer, soft drinks, cheese and crackers. This event is Pot Luck and we
ask you bring your favorite dish. Map:

and mooring requests, with name of boat, draft & beam of boat, name
& tel. no. of boat owner, should be emailed to Peter Borowiec at borowiecs@aol.com. (E-mailing to oscafleet will delay your reservation.) A request
for a slip does not guarantee that a slip will be available. There are
always moorings available. Slips are $2.50 per ft. per night plus $5.00 per
night for electricity. Moorings are $35.00 per night and include launch
service from 8:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. EGYC monitors VHF Channel 9. EGYC tel.

June KICKIMUIT RIVER RENDEZVOUS
There
is an OSCA weekend rendezvous on the Kickimuit River Saturday and Sunday, June 21 &
22. The opening to the river is located on Mt.
Hope Bay, generally opposite and North of the Sakonnet
River. High tide is mid-afternoon, (approximately 2:30) and entrance to the
river is easy as the channel is well-marked.
We will be anchoring in the river which looks more like a lake. Good
anchoring mud awaits and this location is known as a hurricane hole because
it is well protected. Last
call for dinner reservations at Perella's
Restaurant on Saturday the 21st.
We will be feasting on a full BARBECUE dinner! Transportation will be provided from the
river. If you can't make it by boat,
you are welcome to come to dinner by car. Dinner at 6pm we will arrive at Perellas at 5:30. The

person (this includes tip) to Shirley Slattery, 136 Sykes Road, Seekonk, MA 02771. Checks must be received no
later than ?. If your plans change and you find that you can make it at the last minute, no reservations are required to attend the rendezvous. You will be able to order dinner from the menu but the BBQ will not be available without payment in advance. A continental breakfast will be provided by OSCA
on Sunday morning for those who attend the rendezvous. We look forward to seeing you there. |

Labor Day Rendezvous - Bristol Yacht Club BRISTOL Yacht Club, the Rhode Island
Philharmonic Orchestra and the Independence Park Fireworks Co. are gearing up
for OSCA’s Labor Day Rendezvous. This
is traditionally one of OSCA’s biggest events of the year featuring Chef Dick
Boldt’s world famous Sunday evening Clam Boil
dinner and the Ted Trudeau Memorial Regatta in the East Bay Sailing
Foundation’s Mercury Sail Boats. Checks
for dinner must be received by August
? to reserve your spot at the dinner table!!! Call the Bristol Yacht Club directly
at (401) 253-2922 to reserve your mooring and to let them know the size of
your boat and if you want to raft to someone in particular. Saturday: Moorings available through BYC – call
on Ch. 68 once you approach BYC and you will be assigned a mooring 5:00 p.m.
Welcoming cocktail party at BYC – cash bar. Please bring an hors d’oeuvres to
